01 · The problem
Staying keto means juggling net carbs, recipes, a pantry, and a shopping list across tools that don't talk to each other.
Macro Hunter pulls recipe discovery, macro logging, pantry management, and grocery lists into one installable app, with an AI assistant for recipe ideas and coaching.
02 · The build
A Next.js App Router PWA (via next-pwa) with Firebase Firestore for data and Firebase Auth for accounts, so meal plans and pantry state sync across devices and can be shared within a household.
Client state runs on Zustand; the AI assistant calls the OpenAI API to generate keto recipe suggestions and answer coaching questions on net carbs, protein, and fat.
03 · Outcome
An all-in-one keto companion spanning recipes, tracking, pantry, and AI coaching.
