01 · The problem
El Paso's 2.5M-person metro had no trustworthy bilingual directory — finding a verified local plumber, lawyer, or dentist meant scattered searches with no Spanish-first option.
El Paso Local connects the Borderplex with verified businesses, searchable by neighborhood zone and presented in both languages.
02 · The build
A Next.js directory where every listing appears in both English and Spanish (no auto-translate), browsable by category (home services, auto, legal, medical) and by El Paso zone — Westside through Horizon City.
Trust signals are built in — badges for bilingual staff, BBB rating, and years in business — alongside an events board, cross-border services for Juárez residents, and a 'claim your business' flow for owners.
